Driving Distracted
So, you are out on a peaceful Sunday drive and you notice the car ahead seems to be weaving between the lines and occasionally slow playing into your lane. Then they seem to speed up and slow down and if you didn't know any better it would appear they were driving while in some sort of trance or even asleep.
You finally get the courage to pass to put distance between your cars and to avoid your involvement in a collision and as you glance over you find the driver deeply immersed in a cell phone conversation, or looking down while texting, searching a map, reading the newspaper, and even eating something that would ordinarily require two hands like chili.
Sorry folks, this is the safest scenario as the majority of what we have seen has been at top speed on the highway with limited reaction time to get away from this dangerously distracted driver. Why do these fellow drivers not realize the danger of these antics and give themselves a break from society/work/family/news and so on and get to where they need to be safely, or pull over as the law requires allowing the rest of us to be safe as well.
We must also not forget the ones crowding the intersection when there is nowhere forward really to go and stopping cross traffic from even having the chance to get started when the light is turned for them.
Have a look at what we have had to avoid just to stay safe.
